Women's Self-Defense with Krav Maga Mpls

    Krav Maga Minneapolis is proudly part of the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF), formally founded in 1996. Krav Maga was developed to help people of all fitness levels learn how to defend themselves from common attacks on the street using their natural reactions.Stay Away is a special program developed by the IKMF specifically for women, tailoring the Krav Maga curriculum to focus on threats and attacks faced by women in their daily lives. Gail Boxrud and Scarlett O’Donovan will be leading the class.The class will be held outdoors at ModernWell, weather permitting.What to bring:Comfortable, workout type clothingAthletic shoesScarlett O’DonovanThe lead instructor for the Women’s Self Defense program for Krav Maga Minneapolis. Her mission is to teach Krav Maga to every woman she can. She teaches a weekly online women-only Krav Maga class as well as special events and seminars. She also teaches co-ed adult classes. O’Donovan has been training in Krav Maga for 12 years, and is the first student and instructor of Krav Maga Minneapolis to reach the Expert level. She is certified by the International Krav Maga Federation to teach adults, women, children and VIP protection. O’Donovan holds a bachelor’s degree in dance, and is currently working on her degree in Physics.Gail BoxrudGail and Dante Pastrano are co-owners of Krav Maga Minneapolis. They are certified under the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) to teach civilian Krav Maga, as well as law enforcement, women-only, VIP, children specific classes. Gail and Dante are both certified Security Cyclists with the International Police Mountain Bike Association. Both have achieved the rank of Expert 2.
