Blow Your House Down Virtual Book Talk

Join us in discussion regarding author Gina Frangello’s new, compelling, honest, and thought-provoking memoir “Blow Your House Down”, a story of family, feminism, and treason. Her story is a powerful testimony about the ways our culture seeks to cage women in traditional narratives of self-sacrifice and erasure. Frangello uses her personal story to examine the place of women in contemporary society: the violence they experience, the rage they suppress, the way their bodies often reveal what they cannot say aloud, and finally, what it means to transgress “being good” in order to reclaim your life.  Frangello will be in conversation with Lacy Crawford, author of the novel Early Decision and the memoir Notes on a Silencing. This virtual event will be held on April 19th, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM CST.
